While WhistlePig proudly have zero generations of family tradition behind their whiskey, their farm and distillery is presided over a short lineage of kunekune pigs. Started as a dairy farm, the 500 acre estate was home to cows, sheep, goats and pigs before becoming home to their Farm to bottle operation. One of the original pigs was fond of snoozing inside the barn that eventually became the distillery, where each resounding snore would end with a long winded whistle. The whistling pig became inseparable from the barn turned distillery, and WhistlePig Rye adopted his moniker and likeness in their name and logo. The top hat was added as a nod one of their favorite whiskey swilling, pig-loving heros- Winston Churchill- and they have been giving history to the hogs ever since. (One oz each $45)

Ten years after WhistlePig sparked the Rye Revolution with WhistlePig 10 Rye, the same stretch this bold Bourbon dream lay in wait, and an extra barrel flip later, a world’s first finish was born. Two distinctly toasted barrel heads – the snout and the tail – bring the rich, robust notes of Vermont Oak to a Bourbon worth doubling down on.
Tequila Komos is made at the Orendain distillery in the town of Tequila and utilizes primarily wine barrels, rather than whiskey barrels for their ultra luxury aged Tequila expressions. All of the expressions are gently aerated in greek wine amphorae, tying the Mediterranean focus of the brand, back to the process itself. Each of the beautiful opaque ceramic bottles is handmade to preserve the aromas and flavors inside of it. Tequila Komos has partnered with Casa Orendain in 2021 to launch an environmental stewardship project aimed at creating positive impact on the well-being of the communities in Jalisco and beyond.
